About Us

Apostolic Lighthouse of Bunkie is an old-fashion, Apostolic, Pentecostal church located in Bunkie-Avoyelles Parish. We invite you to come experience the Power of Pentecost.

The Word of God is pure, infallible, and is still alive today. This Acts 2:38 message is still being taught and obeyed.

We believe there is One God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the Father in Creation, the Son in Redemption, and the Holy Ghost in Regeneration.

We believe in the infilling of the Holy Ghost and baptism in Jesus Name. This the message the Apostles preached on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2.

We believe in the complement to live a Holy lifestyle. We have a great desire to live a life that is pleasing to God both inwardly and outwardly. We also believe in separation from the world.

God is still moving and His Spirit is still being poured out. He’s still saving, healing, delivering, breaking chains, destroying yokes, giving peace in the midst of storms, and so much more. Whatever you’re going through today, He is the answer.

Please join us in one of our worship services. You’ll be glad you did

Our History

In 1990, God opened doors for us to purchase a practically new church building and 5 acres of land from another church organization who no longer had a church in Bunkie. This move started one of the greatest revivals Bunkie has ever seen. At that time, the name of the church was changed to The Apostolic Lighthouse of Bunkie.

Rev.  & Sis. Johnson pastored Bunkie for 30 years.  During their pastorate, they lived and taught old time Apostolic living and the church began to flourish. After 30 years, the Johnson’s decided to retire. In April 2011, Rev & Sis David Ducote took over pastorate of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Bunkie.

The Ducotes’ received the Holy Ghost in 1984 and continued to be under the Johnson’s leadership until their retirement. Today, they continue to carry the torch of preaching, teaching and living truth in Bunkie.

The current ministry of Apostolic Lighthouse Church of Bunkie, in addition to the Ducotes’, include a young minister and musician,

Rev. Alex Madrigal. Rev. Madrigal is a young man after God’s own heart and a huge blessing sent by God for the church in Bunkie.  He is the head of the music department and shares his God given talent to lead anointed worship and is also an anointed man of God who preaches God’s word.

The mission of our Church is to reach lost souls; to preach God’s word without wavering, to preach holiness as the bible teaches and not to be blinded by or influenced by the world.  We strive to be an example of Jesus Christ.  We want to represent him to the best of our ability.  We want to let Bunkie and the surrounding areas know that there is a LIGHTHOUSE in Bunkie for all those who are lost and who are hurting.
